This Sterling Silver Gecko Ring is an example of handcrafted excellence. While the medium is very traditional in shape, design, and technique; the design is quite intricate and rare. The technique used by Hopi artists utilizes two sheets of silver, laid one on top of the other. First, the bottom sheet which is etched and oxidized. Then the top layer is precision hand cut and solders the two sheets together. It is then buffed and finished -- a process that takes years to perfect. Native American Hopi handcrafted in the 80's. Vintage.
