Vintage Native American Hopi Silver Kokopelli Bar Necklace

This Sterling Silver Hopi bar necklace is traditional in design and technique. Although vintage, this is a very current style of necklace; bar necklaces are all the rage. The centerpiece bar features a Kokopelli petroglyph. The chain style allows for a shorter length if desired.

The technique used by Hopi artists utilizes two sheets of silver, laid one on top of the other. First the bottom sheet is etched and oxidized. Then the top layer is precision hand cut and soldered to the first sheet together. It is then buffed and finished.
