Navajo Hopi Style Native American Man in The Maze Sterling Silver Link Concho Belt
This belt is handcrafted from Sterling Silver in the traditional overlay medium. Overlay is two sheets of silver soldered together... The bottom layer is oxidized and etched. The top layer is hand cut, filed, and soldered onto the bottom layer. It is then further detailed to remove any rough edges or imperfections. Then it is buffed with steel wool to achieve a satin like appearance. The legend of the "Man in the Maze" is intended to help children understand the meaning of life. The maze depicts experiences and choices we make in our journey through life. It illustrates the search for balance - physical, social, mental and spiritual. In the middle of the maze are found a person's dreams and goals. Native American legend says when we reach the center, the sun god is there to greet us, bless us and pass us into the next world.
